Description:

This year's conference will focus on any number of areas such as e-zines, electronic book publishing, literary websites, literary travel writing, truth and accuracy for non-fiction writers, what's literary and what's not.

Round tables will be presented on subjects such as small press publishers, journal editors, fundraising, grant writing, getting small press books and literary journals adopted for classroom use.  Other panels may include literary festivals, conferences, colonies, retreats, translations and working with libraries.

Conference panels will cover many aspects of writing--including poetry, fiction, non-fiction--and all aspects of the literary arts.  Our hope is that by bringing together the region's literary arts people we will promote mutual literary efforts in as many ways as possible. There will also be a book fair where work by visiting writers will be for sale.

Past participants have been a Who's Who of the region's creative writers and publishers, including: Rick Chess, Michael Martone, Reginald Shepherd, Nickole Brown, Janet Holmes, William Slaughter, Ted Pelton, R.M. Berry, James Kimbrell, Paul Shepherd, Maureen Seaton, Michael Neff (Web Del Sol). Editors from many presses and journals such as Anhinga Press, Fiction Collective Two,  The University of Tampa Press, Sarabande Books, Snake Nation Press, Starcherone Press,  Ahsahta Press, Mudlark, The Georgia Review, The Chattahoochee Review, Terminus Magazine, Arts and Letters  and many others.
