| Description: | The Annual Conference typically features 300 presentations: readings, lectures, panel discussions, and forums plus hundreds of book signings, receptions, dances, and informal gatherings. The conference attracts more than 5,000 attendees and more than 500 publishers. In 2010, AWP will bring its annual conference and bookfair to Denver, Colorado. Each year, AWP holds its Annual Conference in a different region of North America in order to celebrate the outstanding authors, teachers, writing programs, literary centers, and small press publishers of that region. It's one of the biggest and liveliest literary gatherings in North America. Join the big literary conversation. Join us at the next Annual Conference. Mark your calendar now! Here are the locations and dates of our future conferences: 2010 Denver, Colorado Proposals for Presentations- AWP welcomes proposals for presentation at the conference. Proposals may be submitted between February 1st and May 1st of each year; during that period, a form will appear on this website for submitting your proposal for next year's conference. Sponsorship- AWP also welcomes sponsorship and support for the conference. Sponsorship enables AWP to waive or reduce conference registration fees for over one thousand students each year, while such support also helps AWP build a more exciting conference. Advertising in the Conference Program- If you are interested in advertising in the Annual Conference Program, please contact advertising@awpwriter.org.
