Description:

The Annual Conference typically features 300 presentations: readings, lectures, panel discussions, and Forums plus hundreds of book signings, receptions, dances, and informal gatherings. The conference attracts more than 5,000 attendees and more than 400 publishers.

In 2008, AWP will bring its annual conference and bookfair to New York City for the first time in the organization's 40-year history. Held between January 30 and February 2, 2008 at the Hilton New York, we expect the 2008 conference will be our most popular conference ever.

Long Description: Each year, AWP holds its Annual Conference in a different region of North America in order to celebrate the outstanding authors, teachers, writing programs, literary centers, and small press publishers of that region. It's one of the biggest and liveliest literary gatherings in North America. Join the big literary conversation. Join us at the next Annual Conference.
